A

Ardbeg

  • Ardbeg 10 Years Old
    ABV:
    46% VOL.
    Aged: 10 Year
    Region/Country: Islay, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Nose: peat, smoke, licorice root, pepper and caramel
    Palate: Very soft, smooth entry (lemony, cinnamon), and then the peat comes is in with a bang. Strong but with a great balance. Great sweet lenght.
    Finish: Long lasting smokey and warming end.
    Overal: Great dram, value for money. Sweet, Smooth at first with a strong peaty mid-section and a end with pear and toasted almonds

Balblair

  • Balblair 1999
    ABV:
    46.0% VOL.
    Aged: No age-statement, Vintage 1999, bottled 2017
    Region/Country: Highlands, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Cask type: Sherry & American oak
    Nose: Floral hints, green apple, citrus, vanilla, honey, chocolate and leather.
    Palate: Less floras as on the nose, more hints of honey, vanilla and fudge.
    Finish: Full budy and smooth with a long and spicy  tail.

Bladnoch

  • Bladnoch Samsara
    ABV:
    46.7% VOL.
    Aged: 8 Years
    Region/Country: Lowlands, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Nose: fruit compote, with orange blossom, plums and vanilla.
    Palate: A winey start, then slightly drying with more plums and vanilla flavors. Slight citrus and malty core. Well balanced.
    Finish: Winey and mellow with a lingering spicy tail. Well structured mouth feel.
    Overal: A smooth and complex dram. Wine (Shiraz) and Bourbon-barrel aged adding great flavors.

The Balvenie

  • The Balvenie Double Wood 12 Years Old
    ABV:
    40% VOL.
    Aged: 12 Years
    Region/Country: Speyside, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Nose: Inviting with notes of sultanas and grapes. Nuttiness with spices.
    Palate: Full body with bourbon characteristics; vanilla, spices with a little peaty note. Nutmeg, cinnamon and dried fruit.
    Finish: Spicy and slightly drying end.
    Overal: A perfect ‘beginners’ whisky but even a great dram for the ‘experienced’ drinker, aged in Bourbon and Sherry casks. Nice introduction to the more peated whiskies. A real classic.

Clynelish

  • Clynelish Connoisseurs Choice 
    ABV:
    46% VOL.
    Aged: No age-statement, Vintage 2000, bottled 2015 by Gordon & MacPhail
    Region/Country: Highlands, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky.
    Nose: Caramel fudge, milk chocolate, marshmallows at first and the fresh hints of grapefruit, lime and vanilla.
    Palate: Creamy and sweet, hints of Sherry, pepper, mint and licorice root.
    Finish: Spicy tail.
    Overal: A solide  and a great value-for-money dram.

Deveron

  • Deveron 18 Years
    ABV:
    40% VOL.
    Aged: 18 Years
    Region/Country: Highlands, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky.
    Nose: Nugat, hazelnuts, raisins, apple, dried fruit and cinnamon.
    Palate: Creamy with hints of hazelnuts, vanilla, butterscotch, peach, dried berries, grains, orange and chocolate.
    Finish: The finish is a bit nutty at first, becoming drier with earthy hints of spices and oak wood.

Glenglassaugh

  • Glenglassaugh Torfa
    ABV: 50.0% VOL.
    Aged: 18 Years
    Region/Country: Speyside, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky.
    Casktype: Bourbon cask
    Nose: Sweet hints with a smell of a bonfire. Salty notes with aromas of citrus zest, apricot jelly and ripe fruit. Spicy pepper and ginger giving it all a ‘bite’.
    Palate: Sweet peat, melon and pineapple, hints of barley and honey giving a balance.
    Finish: The finish is a powerful harmony between fruity and spicy tones, lingering towards a typical peated coastal whisky.

Laphroaig

  • Laphroaig 10 Years Old
    ABV:
    40% VOL.
    Aged: 10 Year
    Region/Country: Islay, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Nose: Peat, iodine, medical box, sea breeze and brown sugar
    Palate: Vanilla, seaweed, peat and leather
    Finish: Light creaminess, neutral sweetness, medicinal, smoke, white wood, medium spicy burst of peatiness at the back with a hint of salt, sea breeze and kelp

M

Mackmyra

  • Mackmyra Special 05 ‘Happy Hunting’
    ABV:
    47.2% VOL.
    Aged: no-age statement, bottled autumn 2010
    Region/Country: Gävle, Sweden
    Type: non-chill-filtered single malt Swedish whisky
    Casktype:  ex-cranberry wine-casks
    Nose: fruity with blue-, straw-, and cranberry hints, dried fruits, butterscotch, honey, Olorosso-Sherry and spicy oak.
    Palate: Very soft and fruity, berry notes with sweet and spicy oak notes.
    Finish: A smooth but spicy long-lasting lingering tail. Slightly drying.

Monkey Shoulder

  • Monkey Shoulder Batch 27 Smooth and Rich
    ABV:
    40% VOL.
    Aged: no-age statement
    Region/Country: Speyside, Scotland
    Type: Blend of The Balvenie, Glenfiddich and Kininvie single malts.
    Casktype:  ?
    Nose: spiced oak with hints of zesty orange and vanilla.
    Palate: Mellow vanilla with honey & spicy hints
    Finish: A short but sweet and smooth tail.

Old Pulteny

  • Old Pulteny 15 Years
    ABV:
    40.0% VOL.
    Aged: 15 Years
    Region/Country: Highlands, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Casktype: Refill Bourbon-cask
    Nose: Hints of caramel, honey, kelp, walnut oil and hay.
    Palate: Dry and salty with floral hints of fern. Salty tones mix with wood and fruity aromas.
    Finish: The finish is pretty and slightly drying, with the fruity hints becoming more visible.

Wolfburn

  • Wolfburn Aurora
    ABV:
    46.0% VOL.
    Aged: 3 Years
    Region/Country: Highlands, Scotland
    Type: single malt scotch whisky
    Casktype: 80% 1st-Fill Bourbon, 20% Olorosso Sherry Hogshead
    Nose: Sweet hints of Sherry, chocolate, dried fruits and barley.
    Palate: Warm and smooth Sherry-flavor, bittersweet nuts.
    Finish: Long and warming tail with hints of honey and spices.
